About us

Mixed choir Belcanto was established in 1994 and after 10 years break continues in its mission.

The conductor of choir is master of artis Jan Prochazka. He comes from the well known family of musicians, Procházka family from Bratislava.

The home of Belcanto choir is a town Senec in Slovak republic.
The Belcanto sings slovak folk songs, adaptations of well known songs and negro spirituals, music of the  20th century,   compositions of  Barroque, Renaissance  and Romanticism and Christmas carols.

Choir Belcanto, except concerts, is also active in the liturgical, edit. It sang on a church services and important Christian celebrations.

Tradition of sacral music belongs in all cultural nations to the invaluable treasures. This treasure has to be saved and aggrandized for next generation.
